The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) will hold its sixth annual culinary event on Sept. 18. This hands-on cooking experience—which is limited to just 120 people—will be held at My Cooking Party (MCP), Midtown Loft in New York City from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The cost is $100 a person, which includes a one-hour cocktail reception, one hour of hands-on cooking and a one-hour sit-down dinner. There will also be a door prize raffle. The meal centers on French cuisine (bistro steak au poivre). Vegetarian meals are available upon request. The deadline for registration is Sept. 5 and buses will be available from two locations in New Jersey (Edison and Paramus), according to the NYSCC. More info: www.nyscc.org
